Transaction Lifecycle
Every transaction moves through a series of statuses from the moment it is received to final settlement. Below is the standard flow and what each stage means.
1. In Progress
When a transaction is received, it enters In Progress status. At this stage, KYC and compliance checks are performed.
2. Submitted
Once all checks pass, the transaction moves to Submitted status. This means the transaction has been sent for processing and accepted by the processor. At this point, the funds are debited from your account.
3. Processed By Acquirer
The processor forwards the transaction to the destination bank. When the payment is processed successfully via the MiFinity acquirer, the status updates to Processed By Acquirer. This is the final status for a successful transaction.
Reversals: In some cases, the destination bank may reject the transaction and return the funds to the acquirer. When this happens, the transaction is marked as Reversed and the funds are credited back to your MiFinity merchant account. This stage is outside of MiFinity's control.
